Election Date: [date]
Purpose. The Hangman Hills Residents’ Association board of directors desires to fill [???three] board vacancies.
Voter Qualifications. Every owner of a Parcel, occupied or vacant, is a member of the Hangman Hills Residents’ Association. Renters are not Association members, and are thus ineligible to vote. Per Article V of the Articles of Incorporation, Directors need not be members of the Association.
Slate of officers. As authorized in Article 5.5 of the HHRA Bylaws, the board of directors recently determined to fill vacancies on the board. Accordingly, a nominating committee was duly appointed by the board president and tasked to fill a slate of nominees, which slate was reported to the board and is presented in the ballot form below.
Nominations “from the floor“. People are voting for the slate of officers presented, all of which are selected by default on the form. To the extent that some may otherwise be unselected by the voter, the voter is then presented the option to write in a nominee for that position. In such case, each such nominee shall have prior consented to being nominated. Designating a write-in nominee is optional.
Following is the slate of nominees:
- Nominee (1)
- Nominee (2)
- Nominee (3)
Counting of ballots. The votes will be tabulated and ranked as follows:
- each nominee will be assigned one vote
- the board will create a descending-order list of the nominees, by the number of votes received
- starting at the top of the list the board will then proceed down the list until the desired number of directors is achieved.
Notification of election results. Following the election, the electorate will be notified of the results via email and also by a website popup message on the Board of directors page. Reminder: if you are not already registered on the HHRA website, you are encouraged to do so by going to https://www.hangmanhills.org. Website registration is NOT a condition for voting.
Submittal. Please record your vote by submitting the form not later than midnight on the above noted date. Your responses to this email ballot are voluntary and the form submittal is ANONYMOUS* to the committee— that is, by using the form, its submittal “from” address is the HHRA webmaster. In lieu of submitting the form electronically, you may print the form and mail it to [address], inserting the form in an envelope without a return address. Or instead of mailing, you may simply hand deliver the envelope to [name, address].
*Important Note: even though your physical address is required, it is used solely to understand how and whether to process the form before the final submissions are sanitized and presented to the board.
Only one vote per household is allowed!
Your responses are ANONYMOUS.
